Thursday, April 16th, 2008  Justice in the Breed Ring

One of the Great Thrills of My Lifetime

On Wednesday, when our competition were chalking and brushing, Justice was working sheep for the instinct test. All Day.

Wednesday evening it was cold and snowing and I wasn't certain I had the energy to even give him a bath. I seriously considered not even showing him in the breed ring the next day. But my agility instructor had given me a little gold pin that said, simply, "Believe". So we bagan to bathe and brush in the motorhome. The windows fogged over and we were both exhausted but we got it done. I even cut the quick in one of his toenails because I was trying to hurry. And he didn't complain. He seemed to understand.

I had no expectations. He flagged his tail, on the table he licked the judge, he carried the hem of my skirt in his mouth all the way around the breed ring - except when he was talking to me and smiling -- with his tail high in the air...... I believe our lovely judge truly appreciated his  personality!

Thank You to our Judge, Jane Howard for appreciating Justice.
